He began his professional journey in Jim Henson’s studio, but it was Henson’s sudden passing that propelled the artist Daniel Remer to seek deeper meaning.
Following the advice of a guru, he moved to Israel, immersed himself in Judaism, and found peace in a unique photographic technique that allows him to control every millimeter of light.
In an interview ahead of his new exhibition at Wertheimer gallery in Tel Aviv, Remer speaks about the transition from Hollywood’s chaotic sets to solitary work in darkness: “If something goes wrong—it’s my fault.”
