In the Wertheimer gallery at the Tel Aviv Port, the photographs of the artist Daniel Remer are now on display. The light that bathes them is not a natural function, it is the result of a Sisyphean architectural construction.
In his new solo exhibition," Stranger Than Dreams", photographer Daniel Remer does not content himself with documenting reality; he extracts it from the infinite darkness using a brush of light. In a fascinating conversation I had with him, the dramatic shift he underwent was revealed: from a film production professional in London and Hollywood to an artist who finds the sublime inside a rusted sewer pipe.
